You don't want to put @username in a public view. Either create a private on first use agent, OR simply add a reader field to your documents. The view will handle the readers access to all the documents. You DO NOT need to add anything extra to the view selection formula. If the current user is in the Readers field, he/she will see the doc, if not, they will not see it. Notes security handles all this for you automatically.
